My addiction this year.




what is that? i will challenge my self and i will teach my children. Its good be flexible when we were kids and ypung. :)

I will Google it and try to explain and make it simple to understand.

Bikram Yoga is a system of yoga tha Bikram Choudhury synthesized from traditional hatha yoga. Techniques and popularizes in the early 1970s. Bikram’s classes run exactly 90 minutes and consists of a set series of 26 postures and 2 breathing exercises. It is one of the popular form of hot yoga that ideally practiced in a room heated to 40 – 45 °C with humidity of 40%.

            It has been proved and experienced by millions that these 26 postures systematically work every part of the body, to give all the internal organs, all the veins, all the ligaments and all the muscles that everything they need to maintain optimum health and maximum function. Each component takes care of something different in the body and they work together contributing to the success of every other one and extending its benefits.

Yoga changes the construction of the body from the inside out, from bones to skin and from fingertips to toes. To change it, need to heat it up to soften it. It is because a warm body is a flexible body. Then u can stretching and reshapes the body any way u wants.

            Apart from that, Yoga flushes away the waste products, the toxins of all organs of your body. It also help respiratory system. Bikram Yoga also employs heat to further that cleaning process, when u sweat, impurities are flushed out of the body through the skin.
Practicing yoga is not only increases our supplies of oxygen, but it also teaches us how to use that oxygen properly. Breath in correct way – we learn to control the breath through pranayama (one of the 26 postures)

The amount of calories burned per session varies from person to person but estimates range between 500 and 1250. 

Bikram Yoga attire: the best is short pants and a sport bra for girls. Thats hard for Muslim especially. The instructor keep asking u to wear short pants and sport bra becoz its easier to learn and comfortable with it. But i still wearing long pants because i will not comfortable wearing short pants. the fabric - lightweight, dry-weave materials are the best, breathable and anti-bacteria. Cotton is actually NO as it only seems to soak up the sweat and weight u down.

Before u go to the Bikram class, there somethng u need to prepare and do. I will update later.

# 1st day - nervous. the instructor quiet nice. the temperature is okay with me becoz i drink water a lot. But when to stretching or to do the pose, its hard for me because its my first time doing Yoga and my body is NOT flexible at all.. haha.. but the feelings after finish were amazing. superb n i sleep like a baby. 

#2nd day - excited. i can stretch little bit more than my 1st day. and i feels great. and start to feels my alignment of body quiet ok. but i still not focus. the instructor said, Yoga is about focus. Not the pose.  for next class, i will more focus.



Later i will update the tips and also the relation between Yoga and our 5 waktu solat. :)
